About Sussex and Surrey Celebrant
It was because of this that I decided to give up my life and career in London, and move to Brighton for a more relaxed and peaceful lifestyle by the sea, and cherish the time with my family and friends. I love being by the sea and on the edge of the South Downs National Park and have found this incredibly calming and energising.
Before moving to London, I was training as a nurse and realised very quickly that the general route was not for me. Instead, I went on to train as a complementary therapist at Peterborough City College. During my time nursing and also within my care in complementary therapies, I have specialised in palliative and end of life care. To me, it’s a privilege to be with someone when they pass and an honour to act as celebrant at a funeral.
Every milestone in life, whether it’s a wedding, renewing of vows or coming of age is important and I take my role as celebrant very seriously, making sure that between us, we create the ceremony you have dreamed of. I have met many wonderful people on this exciting journey, and I look forward to meeting many more.
All of my training has been completed through the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants (FOIC).
I am a registered member of the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC). Please click here for further information.
Through my membership of AOIC I am also a member of the SAIF, Independent Funeral Directors, the National Association of Funeral Directors and Wedding Celebrancy Commission.
I have adopted The Celebrant Accord as set by the Funeral Celebrancy Council. Please click here for further information.
I am a registered supporter of Dying Matters. For further information on Dying Matters please click here.
